Earned a BS degree in economics from Bates College, earned a MD from Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed his Anesthesiology Residency as Chief Resident at Maine Medical Center, studied pediatric anesthesiology and critical care medicine through a fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Boston Children’s Hospital, earned an M.B.A. in international business from Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business.

Prior Experience:

Delaware’s State Senator in 2008 (as a democrat), chaired the Administrative Services/Elections Committee, served on the Education, Energy and Transit, Small Business, Banking, and Sunset Committees, established The Brandywine Valley National Scenic Byway Advisory Board, worked for duPont Hospital for Children (Nemours)/Jefferson Medical College, founded an anesthesiology services company.

Issues and Positions

Economy and Cost of Living: Build up Delaware’s economy through becoming more fiscally responsible, supporting small businesses, and making essential needs available at lower costs 

Healthcare: Deliver affordable high quality healthcare to all Delaware residents prioritizing lowering costs and increasing access while focusing on preventative care

Protecting Delaware Jobs and Keeping Business Here: Prioritizing a pro-growth agenda by stopping federal regulatory overreach and making our supply chains more secure to promote our own economic sovereignty

Education: Improve educational outcomes for students through investing in a stronger early education while implementing modern technology to provide the same high quality education throughout the state. 

Military, Veterans, and National Security: Invest in providing better resources for our veterans including PTSD treatment, modernizing healthcare and expanding access across the state, and rebuilding American military strength 

Law and Order, Constitution, and Police: Increase funding to expand law enforcement’s presence while defending and protecting the US Constitution, the Judiciary, and the Bill of Rights

Ending the weaponization of government: Work towards an outcome where all are treated equally by our government regardless of status and restore a sense of transparent and accountable government actions

Border Security and National Sovereignty: Improve national security through finishing physical wall construction at the Southern Border and creating stricter enforcement around illegal entry to prevent issues such as drug trafficking 

Voter Integrity: Pass the SAVE Act, mandate proof of citizenship for voting, and conduct regular audits of voter rolls.
